Freak...Made it to Old Yankee Stadium once.....It was AWESOME....Monument park sent chills down my spine....I just hate my Dad's not with us anymore to enjoy #27....He was a bigger Yankee fan than me.......Maybe he watched it with Ruth, Mantle and Gerhig in heaven.....

Actually HDF I found a link that says the Yankees 2009 payroll was $ 208,097,414.oo
http://espn.go.com/mlb/teams/salaries?team=nyy

Lets break that down a little bit shall we ?

Alex Rodriguez was paid $33,000,000.oo for his efforts in 2009.

Thats a average of $90,410.oo per day.

Thats a average of $3,767.12 per hour.

Thats a average of $941.78 every 15 minutes.

So if Mr. Rodriguez sleeps 8 hours per night he makes $30,136.98

So he would make $210,588.86 per week in his sleep.

The entire Pittsburgh Pirate payroll for 2009 was $25,197,000.oo for the entire team.............and yet Alex Rodriguez single handly makes a mere $7,803,000.oo per year more than a entire Major League baseball team !!!!!

Did the New York Yankees buy the 2009 World Series Championship ? ABSOLUTELY

Does there need to be a salary cap in MLB ? ABSOLUTELY

IMO no athlete is worthy of earning $33,000,000.oo per year and I'm not hatin I'm just sayin !!!!!

Boo Hoo Hoo!!! So the Yankees have more money than everyone else, so what, its not their fault that every team in Baseball doesn't have the benefit of a Billionaire Owner!!! Hey, heres a question, if the Yankees buy everything, then how come this is the first World Series Championship they've won in 9 years, how come they didn't win or as you people put it "BUY" the World Series in 2001 & 2003 when the went?!?! exactly!!! The Yankees is your Daddy!!! So suck it up, and stop acting like a bunch of crybabies!!!
